The closing circle on Sunday morning — where every couple shares what they're taking home — leaves you feeling connected to other couples walking the same rite of passage as you in one of the most significant experiences of your life.

The Weekend Birth Course takes place once a month at Austin Rooted: Austin's new premier holistic birth center, just north of downtown. The course is one weekend, Saturday and Sunday, 9am to 12pm. Seats are limited to 8 couples maximum.
Whether you're planning a hospital birth, a birth center birth, or a home birth — this course was built for all of it. The tools, knowledge, and preparation you leave with apply to every birth environment and every birth plan.

What will the weekend course cover?
Saturday
We open as a group, we go deep into the intelligence of birth, and we give you the knowledge and language to advocate for your birth with confidence. In any setting, with any provider.
Opening circle with basic introductions, what brought you here, and what you’re hoping to get out of this birth course experience
A deep understanding of birth physiology and the laboring body's ancient intelligence
You know exactly what your hormones are doing in labor and how to work with them rather than against them
You stop fearing pain and start reading it as the intelligent language your body is speaking

Sunday
On Sunday, we move out of the mind and into the body. You will do hands-on practices with your partner to help you both enter your birth one more layer embodied.
Your partner's hands will know what to do during each phase of labor and when things get intense
You will practice the positions, breath, and touch that have carried laboring women through birth for centuries
You'll have the opportunity to name the fears you've been carrying and reframe your beliefs around them
You have a dedicated space for the honest conversation most birth classes skip entirely
You have an honest, practical picture of postpartum and a plan for the weeks after your baby arrives
You and your partner will be able to envision the day of your birth together, from the first contraction to the moment you hold your baby
You understand the identity shift of moving from maiden to mother and how to move through it with grace
You leave with a community couples who will walk the same rite of passage alongside you
You will leave the weekend feeling confident, prepared, empowered.

This weekend is for expecting couples who want substantive, holistic birth preparation in a community setting. And who want to walk into their birth genuinely ready, not just informed.

The couple who wants more than a hospital orientation or their midwife’s packet but isn't ready to commit to a multi-session package yet. For the couple who is anywhere from the second trimester onward and wants a complete, comprehensive foundation for their birth, regardless of where they plan to deliver.
