Receive the postpartum care every woman is meant to have

A 6-week container of nourishing, ceremonial postpartum support for new mothers

Hi, I’m Jules

Meet your Postpartum Doula

I’m a holistic birth and postpartum doula. I’m also a menstrual coach and have been working in the alternative women’s health space for over 5 years now. Supporting women to come back into natural rhythm with their bodies and womanhood is one of my greatest joys in life.

There’s been an amazing growing awareness of the needs of women in the motherhood transition in the last few years. More and more women are seeking support outside of the conventional systems and hiring doulas like myself to receive the care they deserve during such a sacred time in their lives. While this is incredible, I know how difficult it is to find support that feels as comfortable as a sister, mother-centered, and still armed with all the knowledge and resources that make working with a doula so worth it.

I never wanted to just be another doula. I wanted to be the source of warmth, light, and strength that gave women permission to relax, unravel, and be filled up in one of their biggest times of need.

I truly believe there is a doula to match every kind of woman. If you feel called to my energy and values, I’m honored to support you and be a part of this sacred time in your life.

With love,

~ Jules

“From the moment I met Jules I knew I wanted her to support me postpartum. Her energy is soft and powerful. She knew exactly how to take care of me during one of the most tender and vulnerable moments of my life. We laughed and cried together. Jules is a loving, non- judgmental, kind soul who has dedicated her life to taking care of the mother. You can feel that she cares and that this is her soul’s work, not something she just does for money. During our 4 hour sessions we would talk, she would cook me meals, make me tonics, bathe me in herbs, rub my legs and back. . . the list goes on. My healing after birth was accelerated because of Jules. Seeing her every week was like a literal dream come true. Her cooking is nourishing and delicious. I continue to recommend Jules as the #1 postpartum doula to all my friends.”

This is mother-centered care.

Unlike conventional postpartum support, this is care centered around YOU rather than your baby. When your cup is nourished, you can even better care for your children.

You are the best source of wisdom, comfort, and nourishment for your baby.

What this actually looks like:

  • Being spoon-fed warm, nourishing, home-cooked meals made with love.

  • Having non-judgmental space held for you by another woman as you process emotions and feel safe to express the challenges coming up for you.

  • Having your postpartum cave refreshed and cleared (e.g. fresh bed sheets, light tidying up) so you can continue to rest with peace.

  • Being led through ceremonial and ancestral practices like yoni steaming and herbal sitz baths to optimize healing for your postpartum body.

  • Support with teaching other family members and loved ones how to best care for you as a postpartum mother.

A Glimpse at the Week-by-week PACKAGE

Your First 6-Weeks Postpartum

Week 1: Enter your postpartum cave

  • We set up the optimal healing and bonding environment within your postpartum cave (e.g. your bedroom).

  • Mom has everything she needs within an arm’s reach (e.g. hydration station, snack station, healing balms, nursing supplies)

  • Foods are focused on being easy to digest, hydrating and blood-building to begin rebuilding nutrient stores after birth.

Week Two: Introduce physical healing methods

  • Based on how you’re feeling and your birth experience, we’ll begin utilizing healing methods such as herbal sitz baths and yoni steaming.

  • Self-massage techniques are shown to support blood flow circulation as mom focuses on bedrest.

  • Foods are focused on warming, nutrient dense foods such as brothy stews, ayurvedic spices, and mineral-dense teas.

Week Five: Expanding your cave’s boundaries

  • We give space to what emotions, fears, and limited beliefs need to be released. These are often secret stoppers of milk flow!

  • You are given gentle reminders and motivation to prioritize yourself and stay in your postpartum cave. There is no rush to reenter the world.

  • Yoni steaming, sitz baths, light touch, and nutrient-dense foods are in full swing to reduce stress, balance your nervous system, and nourish your body.

  • This could be the week you go for your first outing or longer walk with baby outside. If you want support to ensure your nervous system doesn’t get too frazzled, I’ll be there for you.

  • The boundaries of your postpartum cave may officially expand into the living room or your backyard. Slow, intentional steps out into the world can feel great here.

  • The hunger and thirst are real as breastfeeding is in full swing! We’ll make sure you’re well-fed and hydrated.

Week Three: Optimize breastmilk supply

Week Four: Your first steps as a mother

  • Support and encouragement as you start to feel out your and baby’s first steps into the world. You’re likely not quite there yet but are starting to feel the call.

  • Sunshine, gentle movement, loving touch, and nourishing food are the best support to releasing the baby blues.

  • Fresh, in-season fruits are reintroduced like citrus, kiwis, and berries as we support your immune system.

Week Six: Closing of the bones ceremony

  • This is our last session together and a ceremonial closing of your postpartum cave.

  • Receive a closing of the bones ceremony to celebrate this very special milestone in your motherhood story.

  • You will be left with home-cooked, prepared-with-love foods to continue the nourishment your body has been receiving. I will offer any personalized referrals and protocols that are needed based on your body’s healing process.

“Jules feels like a comforting, warm embrace. Her grounded energy was exactly what I needed during those early postpartum weeks. While I deeply appreciated the practical help around the house (like light cleaning and meal prep), her emotional and spiritual support meant just as much, if not more. Our conversations, along with the yoni steaming and meditative massages, brought an incredible sense of comfort and healing. I loved my time with her!”

FAQs

  • A postpartum visit is a minimum of 3hrs but typically lasts closer to 4hrs.

  • When I first arrive, I will enter your bedroom (or postpartum cave), to gently greet you and check in. I’ll give space to talk about whatever is top of mind for you and ask thoughtful questions to help form the agenda flow for the day. Afterwards, we’ll typically move into bodywork like yoni steaming or sitz bathing. I’ll always prepare you a warm meal and then get to meal prepping postpartum focused foods to support you over the next few days. If there is tidying up to do, I support with light tasks like changing your bedsheets, laundry, and refreshing your space.

  • Yes! After we have your consult and you officially sign with me, I schedule an in-home visit with all postpartum clients. This gives us a chance to meet in person before baby arrives and walk through your space to talk about ideas for optimizing everything for postpartum. I also like to take a peek at my client’s kitchens to know what extra cooking supplies to bring for your sessions <3

  • Asides from groceries, I bring my own yoni steaming stool, herbs, oils, heating pads, and more. Extra towels are always helpful to have on hand from the client’s end. Otherwise, I’m always happy to give personalized recommendations for postpartum healing tools that could support you and baby in the first few weeks.

  • Clients are responsible for the cost of groceries. You can essentially think of me like a personal postpartum chef! I will make magic with whatever you have available in your kitchen. However, I do provide a postpartum guidebook for clients with plenty of recipes and shopping lists to gather inspiration from.

  • I am not a healthcare provider and I do not give medical advice. I can provide suggestions on nutrition, supplements, yoni healing methods, basic breastfeeding support, cosleeping tips, and other alternative newborn lifestyle practices. I’m also available to hold space for emotional processing, provide ideas for setting boundaries and getting your needs met, and remembering how to put yourself first.
